Balsamic Honey Garlic Salad Dressing

Writer's picture: Andrew BeauChampAndrew BeauChamp

I was getting tired of my go-to salad dressing, my homemade Ceasar dressing, so I started playing around with something completely different and I had all these balsamic kinds of vinegar and flavored Olive oils. This has become our new favorite dressing. This makes enough dressing to dress 2 large salads for 4.

Ingredients

2/3 cup of either traditional olive oil or a basil olive oil

1/2 cup of grated romano cheese

1/4 cup of a really good quality balsamic vinegar

3 cloves of garlic, grated

a handful of fresh basil, torn into small pieces

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

2 tablespoons of raw honey

1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Place everything above into a jar with the exception of the cheese and basil leaves and shake well. Add cheese and shake again and set aside for about 1/2 hour before serving. Right before dressing your salad add the basil leaves, shake and dress the salad.
